What makes it distinctive

Heather honey is full-flavoured by nature. Its deep colour, warm spice and velvety texture linger on the palate, setting it apart from the lighter blossom honeys of spring and summer.

How to taste it

Begin with the colour and texture, then notice the aroma, flavour and finish. Enjoy it on its own or pair it with blue cheese, aged cheese, oat biscuits or rye bread.

Naturally different each year

The bloom and weather change from year to year, and the honey changes with them. Each harvest has its own nuances of colour, aroma and texture.

From hive to jar

When the heather blooms, the hives are moved to coastal heathlands across West Jutland. The honey is gently extracted from the comb, never exposed to high heat and carefully crystallised to develop its fine, velvety texture. Nothing else is added.
